Living in the Default World

the things I do for life
This is the oldest, continuously inhabited street in the United States!  It’s called Elfreth’s Alley and it’s so neat!  All the buildings are beautifully preserved and the tour guide shared a lot of interesting information.  For example, back in the 1700’s, people were taxed on the width of their houses, but they could be as tall or deep as that wanted with no economic consequences, which why the houses were only about 16 feet wide!
